In a joint project with the latvian women’s ensemble „Vox iubilantis“, composer Andreas Theobald and historian Andris Levāns we’ll be musically exploring the medieval past of Riga’s St. Maria Magdalene’s monastery. Authentic chants from medieval Rīga will be performed for the first time since the dissolution of the monastery alongside electronical music that was commissioned for this project. The night concert promises to be a very unique, contemplative concert experience connecting Rīga’s Maria Magdalene’s church with its rich history.
